The Thesis Question

As my time gets closer and closer to choosing a thesis for my grad program, I was wondering if any of you out there could potentially give me advice on how to exactly choose a thesis? What would you recommend to finally arrive at a thesis worth pursuing? How do you know there is enough information to write 70 plus pages? Anyways, any information and advice would be greatly appreciated!

Kids and the Media

As this is my first post, I’m not really sure how to start this exactly, so I shall start with a burning question. I was recently on an airplane awaiting take-off on the runway, and there was this very energetic and inquisitive child sitting behind me. I have little to no experience with children and would maybe place the age of this little tyke at about five. As she was speaking to her mother,  she quoted Sweet Brown, a woman who went viral on YouTube after describing the scene of a fire. This little five year old told her mother in the exact tone and intonation of Sweet brown, “Ain’t nobody got time for that”, I laughed to myself, but then wondered, where exactly did this child pick up a line from a YouTube video, surely not by accessing it herself. But then I recalled an article that I read from The Atlantic about little tots getting their hands on Ipads and being completely comfortable with navigating apps. Which leads me to my burning question; How exactly do children this young learn these skills and do you think this particular girl learned this line simply from her parents or are five year olds browsing YouTube and if so, to what extent?

I would love to hear from anyone and everyone on what they think about kids and the age of the internet, and what parents do when faced with the internet and their children. Sorry for any errors in grammar or spelling, I did my best to find them and correct them.
